Welcome to the J&K Marine Service Department. Congratulations on your purchase! Our goal at J&K Marine is to provide a superior boating experience for our valued customers and their families.  Our highly qualified experienced professionals are dedicated to providing you with a lifetime of boating pleasure.

The boating industry in our region continues to grow.  As a result our service department is open all year long.   Even though your boat is put away during the winter months it should not be a time to delay any service needs.  Due to the cycle of seasons we have there are times of the year when certain service items should be scheduled and completed to be ready as soon as the boating season begins for you.

Seasonally these are some of the service items we’d like you to keep in mind.  Our goal is to have all our customers on the water as often as possible.  For that reason, we’ll always prioritize service appointments that help us achieve that goal.

DECEMBER- FEBRUARY

This is the best time to:

• Have any overhauls done to engines or outdrives.
• Have gelcoats fixed, both scratches or major repairs that are typically time consuming.

In most cases we will be able to offer you a better rate for these repairs over the winter because it cuts down on scheduling in the spring when the service department schedule is packed.

MARCH-APRIL

Any small jobs done in March-April will save you weeks in the summer when you want to be on the water. This is the best time to schedule:

• Tune-ups
• Minor repairs such as water pumps
• Installation of radios, depth finders etc.

APRIL-JUNE

We are consumed with boat deliveries in this timeframe.  New purchase deliveries as well as spring start-ups and delivering boats out of our indoor storage.  All other repairs are difficult to fit in during this time.

JULY-AUGUST

This is the best time to address any warranty issues & repairs.  We try to accommodate you by scheduling work Mon-Fri so your weekends can be spent on the water.

SEPTEMBER-DECEMBER

We’re booked solid with winterizing, haul-out and storing your boat in our indoor storage facilities for the winter.   This is a great time contact us to schedule major repairs to occur over the winter.

We hope this gives you an overview of the seasonal cycle of work our service department prioritizes annually to be as efficient and accommodating as possible.  Once you realize our main goal is to keep our customers on the water, it will lead to a better understanding of our seasonal priorities in service of all of our valued customers.
